OVERSEAS STUDENT ACCOMMODATION IN BIRMINGHAM
BIRMINGHAM INTERNATIONAL STUDENT HOMES (BISH) is a company run by the Birmingham District
of the Methodist Church which offers self-catering accommodation
to students from overseas during the time of their studies. The
aim is to offer an establishment that feels like a home away
from home, where everyone - staff and students - knows and helps
one another.
BISH runs two houses:
ASBURY OVERSEAS HOUSE (AOH) has
22 self contained two bedroomed apartments
3 double rooms
24 single rooms
All have a wifi socket in each room, are furnished and self-catering
with a common room, TV, laundry and kitchens.
AOH is situated in quiet and spacious grounds conveniently close to
the Bristol Road (for buses) and the Selly Oak Campus of Birmingham
University.
WESLEY INTERNATIONAL HOUSE (WIH) has
5 en suite single rooms
45 single rooms with shared bathroom facilities
All have wi-fi socket in each room. There is a lounge, TV room,
dining room and communal kitchen.
WIH is conveniently placed within 5 minutes walk of the main campus
of Birmingham University in a quiet residential suburb.
A very high proportion of our residents is studying at postgraduate
level, where the quiet, friendly atmosphere of the houses is highly
valued.
